At Lamar High School: Holds the Lamar High School record in the discus, placing third at the State Championships. State runner-up in the discus with an eighth place finish in the shot put during his junior season. Also qualified for state in golf, lettering in basketball as well. Member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Born March 28, 2006. Son of John and Anita Brodecky and he has one brother, Brennan. Expected to major in Mechanical Engineering at WT.
