Maroon Platoon

The Maroon Platoon is a student-led spirit organization designed to support West Texas A&M athletics - arguably the heartbeat of the campus.

These enthusiastic fans gain the special privileges and access to WT Athletics that are not open to the general student body: charter bus traveling, free food, T-shirts and a family, to name a few.

MP is known for its ostentatious display of maroon and loud chants that can be echoed even around campus. They have adopted the Polynesian’s culture by implementing the challenge dance known as the ‘Haka’, as well as various other symbols of the decorated culture.

Being the fastest growing organization on campus, their vision is to see the entire University take part of the celebrated traditions that have been put into action.
