Buffs are the 2023 NCAA DII Outdoor National Championship Runner-up

2023 OUTDOOR SEASON

PUEBLO, CO. – West Texas A&M Buffs are the 2023 NCAA Outdoor National Championship runner-up for the second year in a row. The Buffs scored a team total 47 points, with majority of their points coming on the last day of competition. The three-day NCAA DII Outdoor National Championship took place in Pueblo, Colorado at CSU-Pueblo Thunderdome from May 25-27.

Head Coach Matthew Stewart  said about the weekend, "I'm very proud of all our men and women this weekend.  They competed hard and represented WT at the highest level.  To have both programs in the top 3 outdoor as well as excelling in indoor and cross country is what we envision for our program: to be a complete program."

The Buffs broke a record set back in 2013 by St. Augustine's at 38.91.
