CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M Track and Field concluded the third day of the Jo Meaker Classic & Multi. Four facility records were broken and multiple personal records were met at this year's meet.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES
Lady Buff,
Corrssia Perry, broke the WT track and field complex facility record in her 400 meter race. She finished at 52.70, becoming the second-best time in WT history, and holds the current Division II outdoor season record.
Former Buffs and current professional runner and jumper,
Benjamin Azamati and Abraham Seneke, broke the other two facility records. Azamati ran a 9.99 100 meter, that was only his fourth fastest time in WT history. Seneke jumped a distance of 7.89 meter (26 feet). If Seneke was a current athlete for WT he would hold the best record for WT. Both are now competing for ASICS as professional athletes after finishing their careers at WTAMU.
Up-and- coming Buffs,
Isaac Botsio and
Joseph Manu, also competed in the same 100 meter heat as Azamati. Botsio finished second with a 10.06 time, a jump from his Texas Relays best 10.21 just one week ago. Manu, ran for third with a 10.08 time. Both are now in the top ten records for the 100 meter. Botsio is only a freshman and is in his first outdoor season as a Buff.
The Lady Buffs 4x100 meter relay team came in first with a time of 44.34 and now hold the top record in WT history, along with the facility record. They continue to get faster as a solid group whose been running together since last year.
A LOOK AT THE RANKINGS
The Lady Buffs moved one spot atop the DII standings to second in the nation with multiple top-10 performances nationally.

st) and taking the second and third spots nationally in the 4x100 squad are

On the men's side, the Buffs rank third in the nation after jumping twelve spots from the previous national ranking, adding a pair of Top 10 efforts at the Texas Relays was
Joseph Manu running a 10.14 in the 100m and
Jeremiah Lauzon placing tenth overall and ranking second in the nation in the 200-meter.

WT will send a handful of student-athletes to compete in the Bryan Clay Invite on April 12-14 in Azusa, California while other athletes go to compete in the Ross Black Open from April 14-15 in Hobbs, New Mexico.
