CANYON, Texas – 10 West Texas A&M student-athletes were recognized for their hard work in the weight room as they were selected to the National Strength & Conditioning Association All-American Team.
"This award allows our staff to recognize the unseen efforts and leadership of the student-athletes off the field, court, or track," said Director of Athletic Performance
Sarah Ramey. "They all work hard year-round to improve performance and increase their physical resilience."
WT student-athletes receiving the honor were:
Adam Becker (baseball),
Nick Marshall (baseball),
Maliyah Mendoza (women's soccer),
Larry Wise (men's basketball),
Maxwell Perez (football), Conner Kurysh (men's golf),
Emilee Wilson (softball), Leah Belfield (women's track & field),
Philip Leano (men's soccer) and
Emma Patterson (volleyball).
The All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year Award program recognizes those collegiate and high school athletes whose athletic accomplishments reflect their dedication to strength training and conditioning.
