Buffs Claim Their Fifth LSC Indoor Championship in Dominant Fashion

CANYON, Texas – For the third consecutive season and fifth time overall, the West Texas A&M Buffaloes are on top of the indoor track & field podium at the Lone Star Conference Indoor Championships following a dominating performance, registering 220 total points to claim the LSC Title.
 
Luke Holcombe impressed in the men's shot put with a mark of 17.10m (56-1.25) on his fifth attempt to claim the LSC Championship, the men's Mile saw a thrilling finish as Butare Rugenerwa overcame two runners in the home stretch to close out an LSC Title with a 4:15.05.
 
Isaac Botsio proved to be one of the best sprinters in the nation as the freshman from Takoradi, Ghana won the LSC Title in the men's 60m Dash with a time of 6.61 then followed that up by a victory in the 200m with a mark of 20.88 for the second fasted time in WT indoor history.
