West Texas A&M University freshman harrier Jisel Bailon will be the Lady Buffs' sole entry in the NCAA-II 2004 Cross Country South Central Regional Meet, which will be run on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Mo. beginning at 10:30. This course, like that at the Lone Star Conference Championships, will be six kilometers.

Bailon was WTAMU's strongest regular season runner, posting a season-best 19:50 in the five kilometer pursuit at the Angelo State University Blue and Gold Classic at San Angelo, Texas on October 13, and finished seventh of 70 runners at the LSC championships on October 23, in a time of 23:56 over a six kilometer course, earning All-Conference honors.

Bailon's best finish came on September 18 at the McMurry Cross Country Invitational where she finished first in the three-mile race with a time of 18:54.
