West Texas A&M University head women's cross country coach Kimberly Dudley has announced a sixth harrier who will join the team in the fall of 2005. Nicole Lopez, a Canyon native, will wear a Buffalo uniform when the cross country team hits the course next fall.

Lopez, who will graduate from Canyon High School this spring is a three-sport athlete, competing in track and soccer in addition to cross country. She was a regional and state qualifier in cross country in 2002 and 2003 as well as being a Games of Texas qualifier every year from 2000 to 2003.

Lopez will join sophomore Jisel Bailon, who was the Buffs' only regional qualifier in 2004, and five other members of the 2005 recruiting class when the fall season begins in September.
