CAYNON, Texas - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced its Division II All-Academic Women's Cross Country team, and the West Texas A&M cross country squad was represented by the junior harrier Jisel Bailon.

Bailon led the Lady Buffs during the team's final four races, including the season-ending NCAA South Central Regional in which she finished in 38th place after clocking a run of 23:28.60 during the 6K event. In addition, Bailon crossed the finish line 17th at the LSC Championships with a time of 23:25 and paced the WTAMU running contingency during the 2006 season, finishing first on the squad at the Angelo State Blue and Gold Classic on Oct. 10 and second at the Tarleton Invitational on Sept. 23.
