Canyon, Texas - Recently, Lady Buff Women’s Cross Country runners Allie Reyna (Soph., Ralls, Texas) and Brieana Garcia (Frosh., Canyon, Texas) visited Crestview Elementary school to participate in some reading activities with the students in Susan Anthony’s third grade class.

 Reyna and Garcia read the book ‘Akiak’ by Robert J. Blake, a tells the story of a sled dog in the Iditarod, racing through Alaska and helping her sled team to victory. The story conveys the idea that one should never give up in pursuit of their goals.

 Following the reading, Reyna and Garcia visited with the classroom and impressed on the kids the idea of staying in school and pursuing goals.
