ABILENE, Texas – The West Texas A&M Lady Buff cross country team finished in 12th place at the NCAA Division II South Central Region Cross Country Championships held this morning on a 6K course on the campus of Abilene Christian University.

Missouri Southern took the win in the event with a total of 18 points followed by Dallas Baptist with 84 points and Truman State with 97. The top three teams along with the top 10 individuals advance to the National Meet held on the campus of Southern Indiana next weekend.

WT was led by Allie Reyna (SO, Ralls, Texas) in 42nd place with a time of 23:26 followed closely by teammate Aries Bazaldua (FR, Canyon, Texas) with a time of 23:30 to finish in 46th place.

Also tallying points for the Lady Buffs were: Eddah Toroitich (SO, Iten, Kenya) in 67th with a 24:09, Jessica Blakely (FR, Hereford, Texas) with a 24:31 in 80th, Nicole Hudgens (FR, Kaufman, Texas) in 101st with a 25:05, and Briena Garcia (FR, Canyon, Texas) with a 25:27 in 111th place.
