SAN ANGELO, Texas -- Senior Stephanie Williams finished in second-place, the first of four West Texas A&M University Lady Buff runners in the Top 10, as WTAMU finished second at the Angelo State University Blue and Gold Classic Tuesday evening, held at the San Angelo Regional Airport course at San Angelo, Texas.

WTAMU finished with 35 points, just four behind host Angelo State's 31.

Williams covered the five kilometer race in 19:08, while junior Amy Garcia was sixth with a 20:20, sophomore Jisel Bailon was seventh with 20:31, while junior Ruby Crox was eighth at 20:37. Freshman Belinda Castanon was 12th with a 21:06, while sophomore Sharen Diggs was 14th with a 21:21. Freshman Nicole Lopez finished with a 23:20, good for 24th-place, while sophomore Shemika Sanford was 29th with a 24:13.

This was the Lady Buffs' final tune-up for the Lone Star Conference Championships Oct. 22 at Weatherford, Okla.
