Results

LUBBOCK, Texas - The West Texas A&M Lady Buff cross country team finished in sixth place at the Texas Tech Invitational held on Friday evening in Lubbock, Texas. The Lady Buffs finished with 173 total points.

Host Texas Tech took the victory with 20 total points followed by New Mexico Junior College with 83 and South Plains College with 98 points.

Nicole Hudgens (FR, Kaufman, Texas) led the effort for the Lady Buffs with a time of 21:39 to finish in 39th place. Teammate Allie Reyna (SO, Ralls, Texas) followed closely behind with a 21:45 to finish 42nd.

Also running for WT were Jessica Blakely (FR, Hereford, Texas) in 45th with a 22:06 followed by teammate Allison Medina (FR, Hereford, Texas) in 46th with a time of 22:11. Brieana Garcia (FR, Canyon, Texas) finished with a time of 22:13 to finish 49th, Caroline Sharp (FR, Amarillo, Texas) rounded out the WT runners with a time of 22:49 to finish in 61st place.

The Lady Buffs next competition is scheduled for Oct. 3 as they travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma to run in the OSU Cowboy Jamboree on the campus of Oklahoma State.
