Seniors Kendra Morgan and Kacie Hyatt received honorable mention American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American honors, announced by the AVCA.

"I'm very happy for Kendra Morgan and Kacie Hyatt to be listed as All-Region and Honorable Mention for the All-America teams," WTAMU head coach Tony Graystone. "It's a great accomplishment and we are very proud of them."

"No other Libero was recognized on the national level more than Kacie Hyatt, and it reinforces our beliefs that she was arguably the best defensive player in Division II volleyball," Graystone said.

"I am disappointed that Kendra Morgan wasn't named among the first three All-America teams. For her to have the season she had working with five new starters (including four freshmen), was amazing," Graystone said. "2003 was clearly Kendra's best season, and unfortunately she wasn't recognized for it."

Morgan, a 5-9 setter from Amarillo, Texas, received All-American honors for the third-consecutive year, earning third-team honors last year after being named to the second-team her sophomore season. She also received All-Region honors for the fourth-straight year, and was named to the All-Southwest Region Tournament Team. Morgan was also the LSC South Offensive Player of the Year, a first-team All-LSC selection and LSC Tournament MVP.

Senior Libero Kacie Hyatt capped off her career by receiving All-American honors.

Already WTAMU's career assists leader, Morgan established a new LSC career assists mark this season, and also became the 12th person in NCAA-II history with 6,000 career assists. Morgan had six triple-doubles on the season, becoming the first Lady Buff to accomplish the feat more than once in a season. Morgan finishes her career with 6,087 assists, which is 10th on NCAA-II career list. Her career average of 12.58 apg is the third-highest in NCAA-II history. She also is fifth on WTAMU's career digs list with 1,413 digs. Morgan had a .350 hitting percentage, which led WTAMU and the LSC.

Hyatt also earned All-Region honors, and was chosen as the LSC South Defensive Player of the Year for the third-consecutive year, and is also a second-team All-LSC honoree. She also earned LSC All-Tournament Team honors. Hyatt established a new WTAMU single-season mark for digs with 643, as well as finishing her career third on the Lady Buffs' digs list with 1,538 digs. Hyatt also is in the Top 10 on the NCAA-II single season digs list.

The Lady Buffs ended the season 29-8, losing to Rockhurst in the NCAA-II Southwest Regional Tournament, as WTAMU made it 10th-straight Regional appearance.
