Lady Buffs Remain In Top Three In Regional Rankings

CANYON, Texas - The Lady Buffs (25-4, 9-0 LSC) are still in the top three in the South Central Region, ranking just below Washburn (26-2, 21-2 region) and Emporia (26-2, 22-1 region). WT's in-region record is 18-1, with their only regional loss coming from Pitt State on Oct. 3. The Lone Star Conference features two teams in the 10-team poll, Midwestern State (No. 8) and Southeastern Oklahoma State (No.9). The rest of the teams in the rankings are from the MIAA conference. Seven MIAA-member institutions spread themselves out on the rankings with Wasburn (No. 1) and Emporia (No. 2) leading the way. Four MIAA schools slide between the Lady Buffs and the other LSC teams, Truman (No. 4), Central Missouri (No. 5), Pittsburg State (No. 6), and Nebraska-Omaha (No. 7). Southwest Baptist (No. 10) is the final MIAA school represented in the rankings. The South Central region includes the Lone Star Conference, the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and the Heartland Conference. The Lady Buffs are in Lone Star Conference action, facing East Central University on Thursday, Oct. 30 at 7:00 p.m. in Ada, Okla., then traveling to Durant, Okla. to take on Southeastern Oklahoma at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 2:00 p.m.
