CANYON, Texas - Sophomore outside hitter Laura Prinsen earned Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week recognition for her strong play last week as she helped the Lady Buffs improve to 27-7 on the season with three road wins over Panhandle State, Midwestern State and Cameron.

Prinsen delivered a game-high 26 kills - just one short of her career high - in the regular season finale against Cameron on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Buffs' offensive leader all season long, Prinsen produced a team-high 45 kills in three matches last week despite playing sparingly against Panhandle State on Thursday. For the season, she leads WT with 452 kills.

The weekly award was Prinsen's first of the year and the team's 15th honor. Prinsen is sixth in the LSC in both hitting percentage (.269) and kills 452) for an average of 3.90 kills per game.

WT will host the 2007 LSC Tournament in Canyon at "The Box," beginning on Thursday, Nov. 8.
