Clark Named LSC South Offensive Player of the Week

Freshman middle blocker/outside hitter Ambra Clark received the Lone Star Conference South Offensive Player of the Week award, announced by the LSC office today (Oct. 20), for her performance over the weekend in helping WTAMU to three sweeps in winning the Lady Buff Challenge.
Clark, a 5-11 freshman middle blocker/outside hitter from Amarillo, Texas, had 38 kills (12.7 kpm/5.43 kpg/.516 hitting percentage) in WTAMU's three matches.
She pounded a match-high 21 kills (.633 hitting percentage), as well as recording a match-high five blocks in the Lady Buffs' sweep over Bellarmine Saturday evening. Clark added 13 kills in a sweep over St. Mary's Friday night.
Clark is third in the conference statistics in hitting percentage (.306) and seventh in kills (3.83 kpg).
She is a graduate of Amarillo High School.
The Lady Buffs are 21-6 on the year, having won four-straight matches. WTAMU is 4-1 in LSC action and returns to conference play on Thursday, when the Lady Buffs travel to Stephenville, Texas to take on Tarleton State. WTAMU continues its road trip by traveling on to Kingsville, Texas on Saturday to play Texas A&M-Kingsville.
