Lady Buffs ranked second in South Central Region

CANYON, Texas - The NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball Committee has released this week’s regional rankings. The #6-ranked West Texas A&M Lady Buffs find themselves ranked second in the South Central Region, falling just  behind Central Missouri. The rankings include the top 10 teams in each of the eight regions, with records through October 11. 

WT will have one more week of Lone Star Conference action before facing four challenging MIAA opponents in a regional crossover tournament at Washburn University in Washburn, Kan. 

Following Central Missouri and the Lady Buffs are MIAA-member schools Emporia (#3) and Washburn (#4). Also representing the MIAA were Nebraska-Omaha (#5), Truman (#6), and Missouri Southern (#8). The LSC representatives in the rankings are Abilene Christian (#7) and Southeastern Oklahoma (#10). Incarnate Word (#9) is the lone representative from the Heartland Conference on the rankings.

The Lady Buffs continue the season with LSC action in Lawton, Texas, taking on Cameron, on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. They continue in Wichita Falls, Texas, on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m., facing Midwestern State.
