CANYON, Texas - Set to join a group of four other players who have agreed to join the Lady Buff volleyball program for the upcoming 2007 season, West Texas A&M head coach Tony Graystone announced this week that Amber Jarzynka will also be a part of the incoming class after transferring from Bellevue University.

Jarzynka, a 5-10 middle blocker, was a dominate player for the Bellevue Bruins who posed a 31-9 record last season, leading the team in kills with 561 while posting a .327 attack percentage in 1,237 total attacks, in addition to also pacing the squad in total blocks with 127. Following the conclusion of the 2006 season, Jarzynka garnered first team All-MCAC honors in addition to NAIA honorable mention All-America accolades.

As a freshman in 2005, Jarzynka was also an impact player, garnering Regional Freshman of the Year honors.

"Amber is our final signing for the class of 2007 and rounds out an impressive recruiting class," said Graystone. "We recruited Amber heavily while she was in high school and I'm pleased that she thought of us first once she decided to transfer from Bellevue University. Amber is an accomplished offensive player and should be able to help us very quickly at either the outside hitter or middle blocker position. Because our team will be so young next season, it was important for us to sign some experience and Amber will help us greatly as we transition from an older team to one of the youngest in Division II."

Jarzynka becomes the only transfer set to join the Lady Buff program, teaming up with incoming freshmen Teresa Dunn Jamie Lakatos, Cherilyn McMenamy and Lauren Thedford as newcomers for the 2007 season.
