The West Texas A&M University volleyball team will host a spring tournament this Saturday, April 3, at The Box.

WTAMU will welcome Lubbock Christian University, Wayland Baptist University, Cameron University and Clarendon Junior College to the round-robin tourney.

The Lady Buffs will open play against Clarendon at 9 a.m., then face Lone Star Conference-foe Cameron at 10 a.m. WTAMU will return to the court to face Lubbock Christian at 1 p.m. and wrap up competition against Wayland Baptist at 2 p.m.

WTAMU will break for lunch at 11 a.m. and all boosters are invited to join the team for lunch in the hospitality room.

The Lady Buffs won five of seven games last Saturday at the Texas Woman's University Tournament.

Following this weekend, WTAMU will compete in two more tournaments, at Cameron University on April 10 at Lawton, Okla., and in a University of Texas-Arlington tourney on April 17.

The Lady Buffs ended the season 29-8, winning their seventh-straight LSC South crown and captured its fifth LSC Championship in a row. WTAMU made its 10th-straight appearance in the NCAA-II Tournament, where the Lady Buffs lost to Rockhurst in the NCAA-II Southwest Regional quarterfinals.
