COMMERCE, Texas - Sophomore outside hitter Laura Prinsen led the Lady Buffs' offensive attack, tallying 19 kills as WTAMU beat Texas A&M-Commerce, 3-1. Natalie Johnson, also a sophomore outside hitter, collected 14 kills in the win as the Lady Buffs improved to 22-7 on the season and an unblemished 7-0 Lone Star Conference mark.

Prinsen also added three assists and 18 digs while junior libero Sara Contreras led the team with 29 digs of her own.

TAMU-Commerce won the first game, 32-30, but West Texas A&M came back to win three consecutive games by the scores of 30-25, 30-27 and 30-25.

Setter Katie Rickwartz dished out 55 assists in addition to recording 14 digs in the match, while middle blocker Melissa Harper tallied 10 kills and seven digs.

Freshman Lauren Thedford was also solid in the match, picking up 16 digs, five kills and two assists.

The Lady Buffs return home this week as they host Central Oklahoma on Oct. 18 and Southwestern Oklahoma on Oct. 20.
