Lady Buff Volleyball Loses To Angleo State, 3-0, Saturday

The West Texas A&M University women's volleyball team hit a roadblock for the second time on this road trip as they were defeated by Angelo State University, 3-0, Saturday afternoon. This was the second match in a row that the Lady Buffs have been swept.
For the second straight match, the Lady Buffs failed to have an attacker hit in double digits as their leading attacker was junior middle blocker Cynthia Carter with nine kills. This was Carter's second match back after returning from injury.
WTAMU recorded a dismal .009 attacking percentage as compared to ASU's .295. The Lady Buffs didn't post a positive hitting percentage until the third game where they hit .216. Freshman setter Erin Houlihan recorded 26 assists and tied a team-high nine digs in the match.
The loss moves WTAMU to 11-9 on the season and 0-2 in Lone Star Conference action. The Lady Buffs finally return home again to host the BritKare Lady Buff Challenge beginning Friday at 'The Box'.
