Lady Buffs Roll Over SE Oklahoma in Three-Straight

The West Texas A&M University volleyball team won its second match of the LSC Crossover Tournament today against SE Oklahoma 3-0 (30-18, 30-15, 30-17). The win extends the Lady Buffs winning streak against conference opponents to 73 games, making it one game closer to tying a NCAA-II record for consecutive wins against conference opponents.
Every Lady Buff in uniform saw action Saturday, as outside hitters junior Jill Steiniger and freshman Lindsey Schaal both recorded 11 kills in the match. Sophomore setter/defensive specialist Libby Garza had 20 assists and senior setter Kendra Morgan, who only played in two games, dished 19 assists.
Freshmen middle blocker/outside hitter Ambra Clark had a match-high five block assists. WTAMU outblocked SOSU as a team, 6-0.
Senior libero Kacie Hyatt helped out WTAMU with 12 digs.
The Lady Buffs held the Lady Savages to a .031 hitting percentage, while themselves finishing the match with a hitting percentage of .371.
WTAMU extends their season record to 12-5 and will attempt to tie the record this evening against Cameron University at 5 p.m.
