Final Stats

SAN ANGELO, Texas - The Lady Buffs (14-2, 1-0 LSC) faced their first Lone Star Conference opponent of the season, Angelo State (10-7, 1-2 LSC), and swept the Rambelles with scores of 25-20, 25-21, and 25-16. WT went undefeated in LSC play last season.

"We started off slow, but picked it up about halfway through game one and never looked back," said head coach Tony Graystone. "It was a big goal for everyone to get some playing time. Leah (Flatness) came in a did a nice job and Ashley (Dyer) put up a good block in the second and third games. Laura (Prinsen) did good as usual and really held the offense together."

Prinsen contributed 12 kills, five assists, and one service ace in the match. Freshman Leah Flatness came in right behind Prinsen in kills with eight. She and junior Ashley Dyer each contributed one block assist. Sophomore Lauren Thedford led the defense with 15 digs.

The Lady Buffs will visit Abilene Christian in their second LSC match-up of the season on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 2:00 p.m. CDT.
