Holly Morgan, a former Lady Buff standout and assistant coach, returns to the WTAMU bench after a two-year absence. This will be Morgan's fourth year overall on the Lady Buffs' staff.
Morgan, an Amarillo, Texas native, was head volleyball coach at Round Rock, Texas Stony Point High School for the previous two years. She played for WTAMU from 1995-98 and was a member of the 1997 national championship squad that defeated Barry University in a five-game thriller, (4-15, 15-13, 21-19, 7-15, 18-16) as Morgan recorded the final two kills of the match.
During Morgan's playing tenure at WTAMU, the Lady Buffs were 118-24 (.831), as WTAMU won three Lone Star Conference titles (1995, 1996, 1997) and made four-straight NCAA Tournament appearances, making two Elite Eight trips and winning one national championship.
She graduated as the Lady Buffs' all-time career digs leader (1,759 digs), and is currently No. 2 on the list after being passed by Shannon Stroud (1999-2002) with 1,801 digs. Morgan was tabbed as the 1995 LSC Freshman of the Year and was a four-time All-LSC selection, receiving first-team accolades her senior season.
Morgan was an assistant coach under Graystone from 1999-2001 before becoming the head volleyball coach and assistant softball coach at Round Rock Stony Point High School from 2002-03.
She resides in Canyon and is joined by her sister, former Lady Buff standout, Kendra, on the WTAMU coaching staff.
