The West Texas A&M University Lady Buffs Softball program invites you to participate in one of four sessions in their 2007 Fundamental Pitching Camps. The Lady Buffs' coaching staff looks forward to sharing their expertise in the circle with all camp participants. The Lady Buffs are very fortunate to have one of the best staff's of assistant coaches in the country. Sarah Harman, The Lady Buffs pitching coach and second assistant Jackie Poggendorf will serve as the instructors in each of the camp sessions. Below is a brief biography on both coaches - Prior to joining the Lady Buffs, Harman spent two seasons as an assistant softball coach at Harman brings a stellar record of experience, including a standout career at Division III Defiance college where she played for four seasons (2000-03). She earned Heartland Collegiate Conference All-Conference first team honors three years she played. A standout pitcher at Harman was a three-time all-conference selection, was named the team MVP her junior and senior seasons, and was named the Defiance Female Athlete of the Year in 2003.Harman, who also played volleyball at Defiance, earned her bachelor's degree in sports management with a minor in recreation in 2003. A native of Port Clinton, Ohio, Harman graduated with a master's degree in physical education with an emphasis in sports administration from Poggendorf played collegiate softball at As a senior at Poggendorf, a two-time Mid-American Conference tournament MVP, was a three-time all-conference selection. She also received National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region honors. She finished her career at Miami ranked in the top five of every career and single season pitching record, including holding the records for career wins (63), appearances (148), games started (106), innings pitched (793), strikeouts (672) and single season appearances (45), games started (32), and strikeouts (210). Following her career at Each session is limited to 15 pitchers. This will ensure individual instruction opportunities for everyone. Each camper should bring their own catcher. Catchers will not need to pay a camp fee. There will be no catcher instruction. Each session will include drill instruction, pitch development and off-season workout plans. Saturday, December 15th, 2007 (ages 8-13) Session I : 12:00pm - 3:00pm Session II : 3:30pm - 6:30pm Sunday, December 16th, 2007 (ages 14-18) Session I : 1:00pm - 4:00pm Session II : 4:30pm - 7:30p $ 30.00 per camper. There will be a $10 fee assessed to any camper who registers after Dec. 1st.
