CANYON, TexasWest Texas A&M softball coach Kevin Blaskowski has announced the signing of Mallory Wyatt to a National Letter of Intent during the early signing period. Wyatt, a native of Watauga, Texas who attends Keller HS, will join Alyssa Lemos, Haley Colwell and Chloe Wurst as members of the Lady Buffs 2010 recruiting class.

Along with being named first team all-District 5-5A as a junior, Wyatt was also named the Catcher of the Year in the district. She led Keller HS to the area championship along with a district co-championship. Wyatt led the Indians in batting average and on-base percentage and established a school record for walks in a season. In addition to catching, Wyatt has experience at both second and third base and in the outfield.

"Mallory is a true utility player who can help us at a number of positions," Blaskowski said. "She is a disciplined hitter who has a great eye at the plate. She just gets on base, she will be a table-setter for the big bats in our lineup. She is going to have a solid career as a Lady Buff."

Wyatt is the fifth Lady Buff to play travel ball for the Fort Worth Batbuster organization. She joins fellow signee Alyssa Lemos and current Lady Buffs, Brooke Webster, Kristina Myles and Christie Russell.
