WT Softball Falls to No. 4 Rambelles in Series Finale
March 16, 2008
SAN ANGELO, Texas - A day after posting its first ever win over the Rambelles, the West Texas A&M softball team could not complete the series win on Sunday afternoon, falling to No. 4 Angelo State, 12-0, in five innings during the finale of the three-game Lone Star Conference South Division set at ASU Softball complex. The loss drops the Lady Buffs' overall record to 13-17 on the season and 4-5 in LSC South play, while the Rambelles improved to 25-5 and 7-2 in conference action. ASU got Kari Glam turned in a spectacular pitching performance, tossing her second complete game two-hit shutout of the series. For the Lady Buffs, only sophomore right fielder Amber Farr, who singled through the middle in the first and the fourth innings, was able to reach base off Glam. In the circle, freshman Shannon O'Dea (6-9) could not make it out of the first inning, allowing five runs on two hits, two walks and a hitter batter in a third of an inning pitched. West Texas A&M softball is back in action on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, when the Lady Buffs travel to Hays, Kan., to battle Nebraska-Kearney and Fort Hays State.
