CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M men’s and women’s soccer teams have been named to the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) College Team Academic Award Lists announced last week.

A total of 579 soccer teams (144 men, 335 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2008-2009 academic year.

West Texas A&M was one of only 100 institutions to place both their men’s and women’s programs on the lists.

The Lady Buffs combined for a team GPA of 3.01, while the Buffs took their spot on the list with a GPA of 3.00.
