The West Texas A&M University women's soccer team, fresh off its second Lone Star Conference title in three years, earned the No. 3 seed for this weekend's Midwest Regional, hosted by Metro State College at Denver, Colo.

The third-seeded Lady Buffs, who moved up to No. 15 in this week's NSCAA/adidas Top 25 Poll, will face second-seeded, No. 20 Texas A&M-Commerce in a rematch of Sunday's LSC Tournament Final, won by WTAMU, 2-0.

Top-seeded and nationally-ranked No. 1 Metro State will face fourth-seeded Central Oklahoma in the other Midwest Regional match.

WTAMU is 14-3-2 overall. In postseason action, the Lady Buffs went undefeated and unscored upon in all three tournament games. WTAMU has an 11-game unbeaten streak, including seven wins in a row and have recorded nine-straight shutouts.
