RICHARDSON, Texas – West Texas A&M will host the Lone Star Conference Women’s Soccer Championship after winning the league’s regular season title. The championship is set for November 6-7-9 at The Pitch in Canyon, Texas.

WTAMU, 14-3-1 and 8-2 in the LSC, is the top seed for the six-team, single elimination conference championship. The Lady Buffs won their fourth LSC title last year, becoming the first-ever No. 6 seed to win the event. Texas A&M-Commerce also earned a first-round bye as the runner-up with a 7-1-2 league record.

The championship begins on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 12 p.m. with No. 3 Midwestern State playing No. 6 Northeastern State. The 2:30 p.m. game pits No. 4 Central Oklahoma against No. 5 Abilene Christian. The MSU/NSU winner advances to play A&M-Commerce at 12 p.m. on Friday, while the UCO/ACU victor plays WTAMU at 2:30 p.m. T

The Friday winners get a day off before playing on Sunday for the LSC Championship and an automatic bid into the NCAA Division II tournament.
