CANYON, Texas – The #9 West Texas A&M Lady Buffs will host the Lone Star Conference Women's Soccer Championship for the second straight year after winning the league's regular season title. The championship is set for November 5-6-8 at The Pitch in Canyon, Texas.

West Texas A&M, 13-2-2 overall and 7-2-1 in the LSC, is the top seed for the six-team, single elimination conference championship. The Lady Buffs won its second consecutive and fifth overall LSC crown after defeating East Central, 3-0 on Sunday afternoon in the season finale.

The Bronchos of Central Oklahoma will join WT in getting a first round bye after finishing second in the LSC with a 7-3 conference record.

The championship begins on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 12 p.m. with No. 3 Texas Woman's playing No. 6 Texas A&M-Commerce. The 2:30 p.m. game matches No. 4 Midwestern State against No. 5 Abilene Christian.

The Texas Woman’s/A&M-Commerce winner advances to play UCO at 12 p.m. on Friday, while the Midwestern State/Abilene Christian victor plays WT at 2:30 p.m. The Friday winners get a day off before playing on Sunday at 1 p.m. for the LSC Championship and an automatic bid into the NCAA Division II tournament.

Ticket prices for the event will be $4 for Adults and $3 for Youth/Senior Citizens and tickets will be available at the gate the day of the match.
