CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M Lady Buff senior defender Kayla Sisco (Amarillo, Texas) has been named to the COSIDA/ESPN The Magazine District 6 All-Academic Second Team announced this morning.

The Amarillo, Texas native is an Elementary Education major at West Texas A&M and holds a 3.67 grade point average. This is not Sisco’s first honor for her hard work in the classroom, she was named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll after her sophomore season in 2007.

This season, Sisco has been the backbone of a WT defense that has only allowed seven goals in their 15 matches played.

The #9 Lady Buffs are currently 11-2-2 overall this season with a 5-2-1 mark in the LSC, they are currently sitting atop the South Central Region polls and are fighting for the LSC regular season title with rivals Central Oklahoma and Abilene Christian.

WT faces Northeastern State later this afternoon with kickoff set for 2:00 p.m. before finishing the regular season on Nov. 1 as they travel to Ada, Oklahoma to face East Central at 1:00 p.m.
