The West Texas A&M University Lady Buff soccer team will play on Friday at 1 p.m. against Northeastern University in Tahlequah, Okla. The Lady Buffs will then travel to Ada, Okla. to face East Central University on Sunday at 1 p.m. as well.

The Lady Buffs are coming off a 1-0 win on Wednesday over Angelo State University. The game was a make-up from Sunday's rain out. In the game that was rained out, WTAMU held a 2-0 lead before the game was called and rescheduled for Wednesday. The Lady Buffs continued where they left on Sunday by holding Angelo scoreless again. The Lady Buffs' lone goal came in the 32nd minute when senior midfielder Roxy Sides crossed a ball and it was chipped over the goalie by freshmen forward Danae Fontana who scored her second goal of the season. Sophomore goalkeeper Sarah Anderson recorded her third shutout on the year. With the win, WTAMU improved to 3-0 in LSC play and 6-3-1 overall on the season.

The Lady Buffs are ranked No. 4 in the first NCAA-II Midwest Regional Rankings, which determine the Regional Tournament field.

Northeastern State is currently 4-7-1 on the season and 1-3-1 in conference play. The Lady Reds are coming off of a 1-1 weekend in which they lost on Friday to Texas Woman's 3-2 and then defeated Ouachita Baptist, 3-2, on Sunday. So far this season the Lady Reds have been led by sophomore forward Robin Sutherland who has eight goals and three assists. Leading the defense has been goalie Chelsey Hill who has 61 saves so far on the year.

The East Central Tigers are 0-4 in LSC play and 2-10 so far on the season. Last weekend the Lady Tigers went 0-2, losing to Texas Woman's, 2-0, and Texas A&M-Commerce, 10-0. On the season the East Central has been led by junior forward Jenny Stewart who has two goals and one assist on the season for a total of five points.

The Lady Buffs return home for the final time on Oct. 21 and 23 against Southwestern Oklahoma State University and the University of Central Oklahoma, respectively.
