Lady Buffs Seek 100th All-Time Win When They Hit Road For Two Games
Oct. 1, 2003
The West Texas A&M university women's soccer team will be seeking it's 100th all-time victory when the Lady Buffs gear up to hit the road again this Thursday as they travel to Commerce, Texas to play the ninth-ranked Texas A&M-Commerce (8-0-2) Friday, October 3 at 4 p.m.
The Lady Buffs (5-2) are coming off a three-game roadtrip to Colorado in which they won two games and lost one. The wins came against Fort Lewis and Colorado Christian while the loss came at the hands of No. 3 Metro State in a rematch of last years NCAA Regional game in which WTAMU lost in penalty shots.
Freshman forward Sarit Shenar is expected to continue her scoring spree as she has netted six goals in her first four games as a Lady Buff.
This will be the second LSC game for the Lady Buffs and the first for the Lions. WTAMU shutout Southwestern Oklahoma, 3-0, back on Sept. 19.
After the Lady Buffs play the Lions, they will travel to Denton, Texas to play Texas Woman's (1-5-1) on Sunday, October 5 at 12 p.m.
The Lady Buffs continue their hunt for their third consecutive LSC regular-season championship.
