The West Texas A&M University women's soccer team begins defense of its regular-season Lone Star Conference title this Friday (Sept. 19) when the Lady Buffs open conference play against Southwestern Oklahoma at Kimbrough Stadium at 7:00 p.m.

The Lady Buffs return to the field after having a ten-day stretch without a match. The Lady Buffs are currently 2-1-0 this season and look to start their conference run with a strong opening match.

Southwestern Oklahoma enters Friday's match 1-4-1 on the year, following a 2-2 draw with Incarnate Word on Monday. It will be the conference-opener for the Lady Bulldogs.

Following Friday night's match, the Lady Buffs hit the road for a five-match road stint and don't return home to Kimbrough until they take on Oklahoma City on Oct. 10th. The Lady Buffs open the road stretch with a five-day, three-match trip to Colorado. The Lady Buffs open the road trip Sept. 24, at 2:00 p.m. against Ft. Lewis.
