Women's Soccer Signs Three More for 2007
May 8, 2007 CANYON, Texas - The West Texas A&M women's soccer team and head coach Butch Lauffer have announced the signing of three student-athletes to a National Letter of Intent. Cassie Hiser is a senior at Hobbs High School in New Mexico, while Nadia James comes to WTAMU from Trinidad and Tobago, where she is the captain of the national team. Also signing to play for the Lady Buffs is Taylor Cromeens, out of Faith Christian Academy in El Paso, Texas. Hiser, who in high school played in the midfield and forward positions, has twice been named All-State. She has also been named All-District the past three seasons, was selected team MVP after the 2006 season and led the team in points after the 2004 campaign. James follows her compatriot Jenelle Nedd to the United States. James plays in the midfield for Trinidad and Tobago, and also plays for the club team Real Dimension in Trinidad and Tobago. Cromeens, who has been named her class Valedictorian, is a two sport athlete at Faith Christian, lettering in basketball and volleyball. Cromeens was very active on her club team based in El Paso, where she lined up at defense and midfield for the Aftershock. In high school, she was given the Flo Hyman Award for best female athlete and was named State Tournament MVP in basketball. All three are eligible to play for the Lady Buffs in 2007, and will be joined by Samantha Garland and Kirsten Wallace, who signed NLI's in February.
