May 8, 2006
West Texas A&M University head women's soccer coach Butch Lauffer has announced an additional signing to the 2006 recruiting class, as they Lady Buffs added a defensive player to their squad.
Natalie Gooch joins Erin Salyer as the second Keller High School player to sign with the Lady Buffs this offseason. Gooch played four years for the Lady Indians and received many defensive awards. Gooch's first three years on varsity she was a second team All-District selection. During her junior season, Gooch was selected as her team's MVP on the defensive side of the ball. This past season, Gooch was named 5-5A district Defender of the Year and was also named the MVP of the Lady Indians.
"Natalie comes from a very good high school team and club team. Both places she was required to have a good work ethic so she brings that to our program with her," said Lauffer.
