WTAMU Women's Soccer Adds Another Player to 2006 Signing Class

The West Texas A&M University head women's soccer coach Butch Lauffer has announced an additional signing to the 2006 recruiting class, as they Lady Buffs added an offensive player to their squad.
Erin Salyer, a 5-3 midfielder/forward, joins the Lady Buffs from Keller High School in Keller, Texas. Salyer played four years on varsity for the Lady Indians in which she has received numerous awards. In the 2003-2004 season, Salyer was named Honorable Mention All-District. During her junior year, Salyer earned First Team All-District and was also named her team's Offensive Most Valuable Player. Salyers' current club team is Andromeda 88 which is in the Lake Highlands Girls Classic League D-II.
"Salyer is a very technical player and we are very excited to have her joining our team," said Lauffer. "Salyer will double playing both midfield and forward and will be able to contribute in both positions. Salyer also will be able to add in the scoing category as well."
The WTAMU women's team ended its season with a 10-6-1 mark. For the first time in five years WTAMU did not play in the Lone Star Conference Tournament Championship game, as the second-seeded Lady Buffs were knocked off in the semifinals.
