CANYON, Texas - The 15th Annual Hat Trick Dinner, to benefit the West Texas A&M University Soccer program, will be held Friday, April 24 , 2009 at the Holiday Inn, 1910 I-40 East, Amarillo, Texas, 79102.  The event will begin at 7 p.m. CDT, and will feature guest speaker, Antonio Auriemma.

The Hat Trick Dinner is a relaxing evening, where guests are served by a designated Waiter/Waitress (members of the WTAMU Soccer Program).

Elisabeth Markussen scored a hat trick against NSU on October 5, 2008.

The meaning behind "Hat Trick" regarding the WT Soccer program involves the three goals which we hope to accomplish by this fundraiser: 1) provide fun and fellowship, 2) encourage alumni and local involvement, and 3) fund Capital Improvements for a WTAMU soccer-specific facility.

To remain consistent with last year's event, the atmosphere for the evening will be formal and elegant. In addition to dinner, guests will enjoy an open bar and a silent auction.

The featured guest for this year's dinner will be a good friend of the program for many years and a huge part of soccer growth in the Amarillo area. Antonio Auriemma.  He will be speaking about the rise and success of youth soccer in the area, as well as some suggestions in terms of expanding the sport. Antonio will entertain us with stories that will reveal his experiences with the sport and stories that will give us an overview of the coach and person that he truly is.

This event is intended to be entertaining, as well as profitable. Revenues generated from corporate sponsorship, ticket sales, auction items, and tips will be used for the proposed plans to build a soccer facility on campus. This facility will benefit the players, coaches, students, alumni and the overall community.

Tickets to the event are $40 per person. Corporate Tables may be purchased for $300 (seats 8).  RSVP's should be made by calling the WTAMU soccer office at 806-651-2667, or by filling out the attached order form.
