Lady Buff Head Soccer Coach Chad Webb

CANYON, Texas - West Texas A&M women's soccer coach, Chad Webb, has announced the signing of Berklee Watson to a letter-of-intent to attend WTAMU in the fall of 2010 and participate in women's soccer.

Watson is a midfielder/defender for Amarillo (Texas) High, where she helped lead the 2009 Sandies to a 23-1 record. She is a two-time first-team all-District 2-5A selection and earned second team honors as a freshman. Watson has also participated in cross country while at Amarillo HS. In the classroom she has been recognized as a Superintendent Scholar during each of her four years as a high school student, as well as being a National Honor Society member.

"We are very excited that Berklee has chosen to join our women's soccer program," said coach Webb. "The quality of local talent is constantly growing and to have a local girl commit to our program can only be beneficial."

Watson helped lead the 2009 Amarillo (Texas) HS squad to a 23-1 record. A two-time first-team all-District 2-5A selection while playing for coach Stacey McPherson, she also earned second team honors as a freshman. Watson is the daughter of Linda and Matt Watson.
