Mike Dye begins his first season as the assistant soccer coach at West Texas A&M.

During his collegiate career, Dye played goalkeeper at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas. He transferred his sophomore year and went on to play goalkeeper for the next three years at MidAmerica Nazarene University. He left MNU with numerous honors including: NAIA 3rd Team all-American, two-time NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) Honorable Mention all-American, NAIA All-Region, Heart of America Athletic Conference Defensive and Overall MVP, first team All-HAAC and NCCAA All-Region.

Dye graduated from MNU having set numerous goalkeeping records. In three seasons, he posted 26 career shutouts and attained a 1.04 career goals-against average. Dye played in every match for the Pioneers, accumulating an overall career record of 43-16-5.

 Dye comes to West Texas A & M University from his alma mater, MidAmerican Nazarene University, after serving as a Graduate Assistant Coach and working with goalkeepers for the past three seasons. During his time at MNU, the team won both a National and Conference Championship, ranked as high as 12th, nationally, in the NAIA Polls, and assisted in the development of nine all-Americans, two Scholar all-Americans, 13 all-Region, and 16 all-Conference athletes.

In addition to MNU, Coach Dye also coached for one season with the KC Legends Soccer Club. After one year, he went on to become the Club Director for the GE Legends Soccer Club, overseeing the development of six teams. He has also worked with both boys and girls in their development as Christian athletes with the Chicago Eagles in sports ministry.

Dye earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and his masters in Professional Counseling from MNU. He holds a Goalkeeper and National Diploma from the NSCAA.

He currently resides in Canyon with his wife, Jayme.
