SAN ANGELO, Texas -

The WT women’s soccer team continue their winning ways on Sunday afternoon, as they defeated the Lady Belles of Angelo State, 2-1, in front of 215 fans in San Angelo, Texas.

The win improves the Lady Buffs to 14-3-1 on the season with an 8-2 record in the Lone Star Conference, as well as clinches the LSC Championship and puts the Lady Buffs as the host of the LSC Tournament to start on Nov. 5 at The Pitch.

Miriam Dominguez (Junior, El Paso, Texas) started off the WT scoring just 0:51 seconds into the match off a pass from teammate Danea Fontana (Senior, Camarillo, Calif.). ASU responded in the 9:00 minute on a Skylar Searles goal to tie up the game at 1-1.

Adi Stein (Junior, Jesher, Israel) scored the game winner in the 40:00 minute on a goal from 30 yards out off of the crossbar.

Lisha Jungmann (Junior, San Antonio, Texas) picked up the win in goal for WT, tallying three saves on 11 Lady Belle shots.

The Lady Buffs now look forward to hosting the LSC Tournament on Nov. 6, 7, and 9 at The Pitch in Canyon. More information on the tournament schedule and participants to be posted on www.gobuffsgo.com in the coming days.
