TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma - The #9 West Texas A&M Lady took another step towards their 14th consecutive LSC Tournament appearance on Friday afternoon as they defeated the RiverHawks of Northeastern State, 3-0, in front of 50 fans at the NSU Soccer Complex in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

The win improves the Lady Buffs to 12-2-2 with a 6-2-1 mark in the LSC with one game remaining in the regular season. The victory moves WT into second place in the LSC behind Central Oklahoma who faces off with Texas A&M-Commerce at 4:00 p.m. this afternoon in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Melissa Carnero (FR, Amarillo, Texas) started off the WT scoring in the 2nd minute off a pass from teammate Taylor Cromeens (JR, El Paso, Texas) to give the Lady Buffs an early 1-0 lead.

Lindsay McHorse (SO, Georgetown, Texas) extended the lead in the 39th minute to give WT the 2-0 advantage heading into the locker-room for halftime. Reem Moussa (FR, Abu-Snan, Israel) ended the scoring in the 72nd minute off a pass from McHorse to give WT the 3-0 victory.

Kelly Skehan (JR, Klein, Texas) picked up the win in goal for the Lady Buffs, tallying five saves on six RiverHawk shots in her 90:00 minutes of work.

The #9 Lady Buffs conclude the regular season on Nov. 1 as they travel to Ada, Oklahoma for a showdown with East Central University with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
