CANYON, Texas - The Lady Buffs defeated Angelo State University 3-1 on Friday, October 23 at the Pitch in Canyon, Texas in front of 127 fans.

The win improves the Lady Buff record to 11-2-1 (5-2 LSC) and drops the Rambelles to an 8-8 (2-6 LSC) record.

Melanie Shannon (SO, Kelowna, B.C.) put the Lady Buffs on the board in the 17^th minute of the game with a goal from 10 yards.

Becky Hewson (SO, Cambridge, England) scored the next goal from 25 yards after a foul by Angelo State in the 35^th minute.

Morgan Kviz (SO, Keller, Texas) headed in the third goal immediately after from eight yards assisted by Shannon.

Rambelle forward Brandi DeBacker (SO, New Braufels, Texas) snuck a shot into the bottom right-hand corner from six yards in the last six minutes of play assisted by Mollie Reeves (JR, Tomball, Texas).

In the last minute of the play, Hewson struck again with a cross kick into the goal from 10 yards assisted by Taylor Cromeens (JR, El Paso, Texas).

The Lady Buffs host Abilene Christian at the Pitch in Canyon, Texas on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 1:00 p.m. CT.
