CANYON, Texas - Two West Texas A&M goalkeepers combined to make nine saves and help preserve the 5-0 shutout over Texas Woman's Sunday afternoon at Kimbrough Memorial Stadium. Freshman Lisha Jungmann (San Antonio, Texas) and sophomore Sarah Pipkin (San Angelo, Texas) posted the Lady Buffs' seventh team whitewash of the season.

Like defense, the WTAMU offense was also in high gear, as sophomore Elisabeth Markussen (Borkup, Denmark) scored the first goal 21 seconds into the match. Markussen was assisted by senior Sarit Shenar (Rehovot, Israel) and freshman Brianna McMillian (Amarillo, Texas).

At 15:45 Shenar scored her team-leading 21st goal of the season, while McMillian added to her season tally at 19:49. McMillian would not be done, as she added another goal right before the intermission off the foot of Shenar - McMillian now has three goals this season.

In the second half, WTAMU was able to score its fifth goal at 64:52 from freshman Kendal Kitchens (Lubbock, Texas), while Shenar was able to dish out another assist, to bring her total to 16 on the season. This was the second time in three matches Shenar gave three assists and scored a goal; the previous time it happened was Sunday, Oct. 15, against Southwestern Oklahoma.

With the win for WTAMU it improves to 14-2-1 on the season and 6-2-1 in the Lone Star Conference, while Texas Woman's falls to 4-11-2 and 1-6-1 in the conference. WTAMU will play its next match as the second or third on Thursday or Friday in the LSC Tournament at Edmond, Okla.
