DENTON, Texas - The West Texas A&M women's soccer team dropped a close 1-0 match to Lone Star Conference opponent Texas Woman's on Friday afternoon, falling to 10-5 on the season and 4-4 in LSC play.

Texas Woman's scored their goal in the 38th minute when Chastity Hayter converted a free kick from 27 yards out.

The Lady Buffs out-shot TWU by a 19-12 margin, but could not find the back of the net. Brianna McMillian and Adi Stein took two shots on goal apiece, while Jenelle Nedd, Kayla Sisco, Elisabeth Markussen, Danea Fontana and Kendall Kitchens each had one on goal.

Sophomore goalkeeper Lisha Jungmann made six saves and allowed one goal in 90:00 minutes of play.

WTAMU is next in action on Sunday as they travel to face Texas A&M-Commerce. The match is slated to start at 1 p.m.
