TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- Senior forward Katie Henley netted the only goal of the match in the ninth minute and the West Texas A&M University Lady Buff soccer team hung on for the 1-0 win over Northeastern State University Friday afternoon at Tahlequah, Okla. It was WTAMU's fourth win in a row and sixth in the last seven matches, as the Lady Buffs improve to 7-3-1 overall and 4-0 in Lone Star Conference action.

NSU falls to 5-8-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the LSC.

Henley tallied her second goal of the season in the ninth minute off a deflection, as WTAMU outshot NSU, 16-9, including 8-4 in shots on goal.

Sophomore goalkeeper Sarah Anderson made four saves in notching her fourth shutout of the season.

The Lady Buffs continue on the road to Ada, Okla. on Sunday, Oct. 16 to face East Central University at 1 p.m.

WTAMU returns home for the final time on Oct. 21 and 23 against Southwestern Oklahoma State University and the University of Central Oklahoma, respectively.
