DENVER, Colo. -- The West Texas A&M University women's soccer team was routed, 3-0, by #7 Regis University Friday evening at Regis Field at Denver, Colo.

The Lady Buffs were outshot, 28-4, and fell to 3-3-1 overall on the year. Regis, ranked No. 7 in the NSCAA/adidas Division II poll, improves to 9-1-0 on the year.

It was WTAMU's first match since Sept. 21, as last weekend's matches were cancelled due to Hurricane Rita.

After a scoreless first half, RU's Kate Murphy, a Plano, Texas, native, found the net in the 56th minute and added another goal in the 64th minute to put the Rangers ahead, 2-0. Murphy now has a whopping 15 goals on the season. Hayley Daunis tacked on the third goal in the 80th minute.

The Lady Buffs continue the road trip Sunday at Pueblo, Colo., against Colorado State University-Pueblo at 12:30 p.m. Central Time.

WTAMU returns home to resume Lone Star Conference action, hosting Midwestern State University and Angelo State University, on Friday, Oct. 7 and Sunday, Oct. 9, respectively, as part of WTAMU Homecoming festivities. Friday's match starts at 2 p.m., with Sunday's match kicking at 1 p.m.
