ARVADA, Colorado -

The West Texas A&M women’s soccer team suffered it’s first setback of the season on Sunday afternoon, as the Lady Orediggers of Colorado-Mines defeated the Lady Buffs, 4-0, in front of 110 fans at Long Lake Ranch Park in Arvada, Colo.

For the Lady Buffs, Elisabeth Markussen (Senior, Borkup, Denmark) took six shots on the afternoon with one of them falling on goal, and teammate Kendal Kitchens (Junior, Lubbock, Texas) added three shots, with two of them on goal.

A CSM goal with :01 left in the first half gave the Lady Orediggers a 1-0 lead going into the locker room for halftime, followed by three goals in the second half to seal the win.

Lisha Jungmann (Junior, San Antonio, Texas) racked up four saves in 90:00 minutes of play in goal for WT. The loss drops WT to 6-1-1 on the season, with a 2-0 mark in the Lone Star Conference.

The Lady Buffs return to action on Sept. 30, when they continue their Colorado road trip against the Mountain Lions of Colorado-Colorado Springs. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 pm CDT.
